The ULTRA GRIT is Ribble’s fastest gravel bike—developed and proven by our pro gravel team, the Ribble Outliers, in the chaos of the world’s toughest off-road races, from Unbound to The Traka to The Dirty Reiver. Available as an upgrade on the Ribble ULTRA-GRIT, this premium suspension fork is purpose-built for gravel racing—offering up to 30mm of travel for improved comfort, control, and confidence. Whether you're carving through gravel or hammering down technical descents, Rudy’s refined damping and lightweight design help you stay fast, focused, and in total command.

Frame Storage

ULTRA-GRIT features a dedicated internal downtube storage compartment, built to keep your essentials such as spares, nutrition, tools accessible mid-ride without saddlebags, external clutter or aerodynamic compromise. The compartment is compatible with the Ribble RIFFT Tool Wrap, a purpose-designed wrap that organises your kit inside the frame for clean, silent, rattle-free storage. Slide it out, sort what you need, slide it back in.

If you're between sizes on the ULTRA-GRIT, we generally recommend choosing the smaller option. It's easier to fine-tune the fit of a smaller frame by raising the seat post or using a longer stem, whereas a larger frame leaves much less room for adjustment.

Actual weight will vary based on the selected components and accessories, as well as standard manufacturing tolerances. These figures do not constitute a guarantee or warranty of final product weight, and we may occasionally make minor modifications to specifications without prior notice.

Like all Ribble bikes, the ULTRA-GRIT is covered by a lifetime warranty on frame and forks for the original purchaser. This includes any manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. The standard manufacturer's warranty applies to all other components including 3rd party suspension forks.

Yes, the ULTRA-GRIT frameset is UCI-approved and has been raced extensively by our pro gravel team, the Outliers.

Yes. The ULTRA-GRIT is available with the optional RockShox Rudy suspension fork. This upgrade improves comfort and control on rougher gravel trails, helping you stay fast and confident when the terrain gets technical.

Yes. The ULTRA-GRIT features enhanced cable integration for a clean, cable-free look. Cables are hidden from view, protected from the elements and shielded from drag.

The ULTRA-GRIT comes equipped with fast, grippy and versatile 45 mm gravel tyres, with frame clearance for tyres up to 50 mm wide. When mudguards are fitted, maximum clearance is reduced to around 45 mm, depending on tyre brand and tread. The fork can also accept a 29 x 2.1" (700 x 53c) mountain bike tyre.

Yes. The ULTRA-GRIT can be fitted with a rear pannier rack using our adaptor kit, providing a practical way to carry up to 15 kg of extra gear (kit sold separately).

Yes. A removable mudguard bridge makes fitting mudguards easy (kit sold separately). We also offer a combined mudguard and rack-mount kit for anyone looking to fit both.

The ULTRA-GRIT is compatible with a 68 mm BSA threaded bottom bracket. BSA threaded bottom brackets offer advantages over press-fit designs, particularly in terms of ease of installation, maintenance and reduced creaking. The threaded design provides a more robust connection, and the standardised threads make it simpler to install and remove.

The ULTRA-GRIT features a 1.5" integrated headset and R457B 52 x 42 x 7 mm 45° x 45° headset bearings top and bottom.

The ULTRA-GRIT features a D-shaped carbon seatpost with an integrated wedge clamp, designed for compatibility with carbon-railed saddles. XS–SM frames are equipped with a 280 mm post, while M–XL frames come with a 330 mm post.

The ULTRA-GRIT features two bottle cage mounts with one on the seat tube and one on the downtube. Both are positioned to work seamlessly with Ribble Aero Bottle Cages for optimal aerodynamic performance.

The ULTRA-GRIT includes extra luggage mounts on the top tube and underneath the downtube.

Yes. While the ULTRA-GRIT comes with a 1x drivetrain, it can also accommodate a braze-on front derailleur using an optional derailleur hanger (sold separately) and 2x gravel chainsets (31T/48T max).

The ULTRA-GRIT uses a universal derailleur hanger (UDH), standardising hanger design across bikes. That means no more hunting for a frame-specific hanger with just one simple, universal solution.

The ULTRA-GRIT has a maximum recommended system weight of 120 kg, including bike, rider and luggage.

No. Pedals aren’t included as riders use different systems. You can, however, choose from a range of best-selling pedals when configuring your bike.
