The all-new Allroad is a 3Al/2.5V prototype titanium frame takes innovation to the next level, utilising additive manufacturing to create the head-tube and seat-tube clusters. This process was specifically chosen to further enhance the design, optimise aerodynamics, and to facilitate internal cable routing, an integrated seat clamp and tailored tube profiles. Furthermore, it provides the ability to create tube shapes with a high strength-to-weight ratio, and better able to cope with multi-directional loads while allowing material to be precisely place to deal with specific stresses. This is contrary to more traditional methods like CNC milling, where material is removed and where access to more intricate areas is restricted - unlike a 3D printer.
